End of year posts...
Some cool lists you all should peep.
My personal “best of 2024” lists will be dropping soon, but right now I am currently engulfed in non-stop list lurking and listening. As expected, there is SO much I have yet to discover, and the same goes for you. That’s why the end of year lists are perfect for discovery, and less for lame competition or a “I listen to cool stuff and you don’t” type energy. Miss me with that mindset, I know the stuff I listen to rocks, but I also want you to enjoy it.
Currently listening to Jeremy Bolm of Touché Amoré deliver some of his favorites of 2024 (fun fact just Google search and copy/paste the bands with those cool accent marks or what have you and it’ll make your typing look so much more legit!). Mr Bolm makes an interesting anecdote, saying 2024 could be the best year for new music this past decade, Ooo0o. Or remember the “o.O” back in the AIM days to show a surprised reaction, ahh simpler times.
Anyway I figured while I have been dissecting and discovering some cool shit, I will link some lists for you!

In Skylar we trust, here’s Skylar Sarkis (Taking Meds, Growing Stone) list his 10 tops.
Bandcamp is still punk, I swear! Their top punk albums list reminded me how quirky and cool Uranian Club is.

Eli Ennis, shoegaze sleuth and all around excellent writers posted up 120 of his favs. While this is a plain list with no words, I highly rec Eli’s “Chasing Sundays” newsletter. I found a ton of riffy stuff all year
Vince Gugliemi of the Daily Snob is always coming in clutch with the hardcore punk recs (and some adjacent stuff). Really dig his stack as well, if you’re looking to build up your list of subs after making a substack account to follow this thang hehe.
